Who Should Get a Facelift?

The Deep Plane method, on the other hand, releases and repositions the SMAS, the facial muscles, and the skin on top of them all as a single unit.
Facelift Operation Process
- Drinking and smoking should be avoided for at least two weeks before the surgery. Blood thinners should be stopped at least 10 days before the surgery. Vitamin C supplementation should begin three weeks in advance.
- Before the procedure starts, the person’s face is looked at and their preferences are taken into account. The procedure is carried out under either general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. Depending on the facelift procedure used, hospitalization may be necessary for one or two days. In general, stitches are removed after a week.
- The recovery phase may differ based on the surgical approach used. In simple operations, the recovery period lasts approximately one week; however, it might last up to one month for more extensive surgeries. However, it may take three months on average for the face to settle and regain its contour.
- Following surgery, smoking and alcohol consumption should be avoided for at least one week. The face should be shielded as much as possible from sunlight for two months. You shouldn’t see the dentist or look down too much until you are entirely recovered.
