Open Rhinoplasty
The open rhinoplasty technique is used to correct the cosmetic and functional deficits of the nose. The surgery is done with small incisions made under the nostrils. Closed Rhinoplasty
Closed rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that alters the appearance of the nose. While incisions are made from the wings of the nose in open rhinoplasty, closed rhinoplasty uses 3-4 cm incisions inside the nose with a scalpel. In this way, surgeons can reach cartilage tissue and bones. The incisions will be closed once the procedure is completed.

Treatment begins with general anesthesia, which provides a more comfortable application for both the person and the surgeon. For that reason, it is recommended that the patient should stay under observation in the hospital for one day.
While patients can resume their daily lives the next day in closed rhinoplasty, it is best to rest at home for a few days following open rhinoplasty. Patients usually do not feel pain. Although rare, a temporary swelling may occur after the second day. Patients may have a temporary bruise in the eyes following closed rhinoplasty. However, those bruises do not occur in open rhinoplasty because all vessels are seen clearly at the time of operation.

The patient must have completed the development of the nose. Nose development is completed between the ages of 16-17 in women and at the age of 18 in men.
